Science Education Support on the Internet

Welcome to my blog. I have been adding material that I feel will be useful to all teachers who want to add to their science content. I hope that you will find it useful. Please comment so that I know that you are there!

Satellite Images of Earth Features

This is a very cool site....http://www.earthkam.ucsd.edu/public/educators/

You can find satellite images of all kinds of landforms and features, and identify them by latitude and longitude

The Periodic Table

This site http://www.dayah.com/periodic/ has several dynamic ways of looking at the Periodic Table. It can also be printed

Internet Research

The Internet may be a great free for all, but the content does belong to the author/owner of a site. Students need to be reminded that information gleaned from a website must be credited to that site and author. It is also not sufficient to indicate that the material came from http://www.amnh.org/; they also need to cite the NAME of the site, and if possible the author and date that the material was posted.

A great weather site

http://www.weather.com/outlook/homeandgarden/schoolday/11106?x=0&lswe=11106&lswa=SchooldayIndex&y=0

This site not only gives the local weather report hour by hour, but shows the temperature and wind chill as a graph
